Description
Alocasia reginula stays small — rarely past twelve inches — and spends that budget entirely on the leaves: thick, near-black, and velvet to the touch, veined in bright silver.
Be honest with yourself about humidity before you buy this one. Below 60% it sulks, drops leaves, and goes dormant. Above it, it is a showpiece. A cabinet or a pebble tray solves it.
Dormancy in winter is normal, not death. Keep the corm barely moist and it returns.
